that's that is the result of a four-week design sprint for the branding of the Communication Design capstone show, DAAPWorks 2025. 
Working in strategic teams of six, each group was responsible for conceptualizing and executing a brand identity, along with promotional materials, merchandise, environmental graphics, and more.

DAAPWorks is the definitive ending 
of our 5 year journey through the Communication Design program, 
and our class was the beginning of 
this new curriculum.
‘that's that’ is our title for the brand. But the secondary tagline, ‘everything we've said. everything we've done’ emphasizes our journey and celebrates everything that we've accomplished so far.
that's identity.
For our pitch, we focused on the concept of the period as both an end and a new beginning, reflecting our transition from students to emerging design professionals. 
The grid
Our approach to the exhibition design was to embody this duality through a minimalist yet impactful use of periods within a grid system. This visual metaphor serves as both a closure to our undergraduate journey and the start of our professional paths. 
By utilizing bitmap images formed from periods, we aimed to create a sense of finality, while the exhibition's use of clouded paper represents the uncertainty and abstraction of our future—still in form, but not yet fully clear.

We looked at different methods to activate our space around the exhibition while keeping with our brand's guidelines. We wanted viewers to have interactive moments with our display space without taking away from our senior's projects.
