Introduction
Madam Thu Bakery is a small Korean-inspired bakery in Ho Chi Minh City, designed to offer a small homemade selection of fresh pastries and warm drinks to the city's younger, on-the-go crowd.
Previous attempt in 2021
During my sophomore year, I created the original branding for Madam Thu’s Bakery, then a small, one-person operation.
The initial identity was charming and approachable, reflecting the bakery’s humble beginnings and focus on delivering delightful pastries to the local community.
Points of revision
Now that the bakery is slowly expanding, I am revisiting my old work 3 years later. After a brief with the client, here's some immediate point to review:

Second chance in 2024
The logo was reimagined with playful, contemporary details, inspired by the iconic Korean ajumma's knot perm, blends a nostalgic touch with a modern, hip aesthetic to attract a younger generation. The vibrant palette of blues and pinks exudes energy and confidence. Bold typography and quirky, minimalist illustrations create a youthful, cohesive look perfect for social media and packaging.
